The ASAW Summer Premier Horse Show
The ASAW is proud to help sponsor this fun and exciting show dedicated to our academy and "B" show riders. This show was formally known as the ASAW Spring Premier Academy Horse Show and was held in March. Beginning in 2010, its show dates and name were change to better recognize the needs of its participants. The 2013 Show will be held August10th – August 11th at the Ozaukee County Fairgrounds in Cedarburg Wisconsin.
The ASAW Summer Premier Horse Show offers many classes and age groups for every academy rider, including Maiden classes. Walk-Trot-Canter classes are all held on Saturday, with Walk-Trot only classes being conducted on Sunday. In addition, the class list has been expanded to include of a small section for B-riders and some novice classes in the academy sections.
This show is held at a recently renovated facility, which includes an outdoor ring and a concession stand. For extra enjoyment and to build relationships with other saddlebred enthusiast, we also provide an exhibitor pizza party for all exhibitors and trainers on Saturday night after the show!

In a joint effort to help educate riders and promote equitation at the academy level, UPHA Chapter 10 and UPHA Chapter 3/4 have joined forces to create the UPHA Academy Equitation Challenge. Three shows throughout the year will be hosting qualify classes for Advanced and Intermediate academy riders. The class will consist of rail work followed by a standard workout. Riders who finish first or second in the qualifying classes are eligible to show in the $750 Championship class that will be held at the November UPHA Chapter 10 Academy Horse Show in Elgin Illinois in November. Two US Savings bonds will be awarded to the first and second place riders with $500 going to first and $250 going to second place.
The three shows that will be hosting this year’s qualifying classes will be:
· The UPHA Chapter 10 Academy Horse Show on - April
o At the Indian Hill Equestrian Center
· The ASAW Summer Academy Horse Show held in July
o At the Wild Wind Equine Center in Waukesha.
